Calliphora Bags is a brand specializing in leather accessories, founded in 2017 in Lucca thanks to Michela Francesconi’s love and passion for craftsmanship: aiming to revive the concept of handmade crafting, Michela left a stable job in order to give life to her project, which is still evolving today.
Her brand first came to be within the walls of her home, fuelled by her dreams and her desire to explore the world of leather goods: a passion which she first approached almost by chance, as is often the case with ancient trades with timeless flair.
She thus learned how to process leather and all its secrets as a self-taught enthusiast. Today, in her workshop, she creates backpacks, handbags and other accessories using organic cotton fabrics and genuine vegetable-tanned cowhide, all materials native to her territory, accurately sourced and selected. Her products are meant for those who are looking for unique and original items of the highest craft quality, durable and with an unmistakeable design.
