For over 50 years Salvatore Papotto has been crafting custom men’s suits and refined accessories in his tailor shop in Biancavilla, near Catania. The master learned the basics of the trade inside a tailor shop, when he was only 6 years old. He later perfected his skills in Milan, in the Sixties, working at Minauro. Back in Sicily, he took his apprenticeship further working with Paolo Lo Re, famous tailor from Catania, where he made a name for himself thanks to his creativity and great manual skills. After his long training, he finally opened Sartoria Papotto in 1970.
It was an instant success: from the very beginning, thanks to his talent and entrepreneurship, the tailor workshop won the favour of a vast, refined and demanding clientele.
Today as in the past, Sartoria Papotto’s garments are created according to the most authentic craft tradition. He is a member of Accademia Nazionale dei Sartori (National Academy of Tailors) and of the World Federation of Master Tailors.
