Atelier Terre is a craft workshop founded in Florence in 2018, by Philip Kron Morelli and Arianne Palla.
During their studies at the Opificio delle Pietre Dure, a renowned restoration school in the capital of Tuscany, they became passionate about the traditional technique of Florentine commesso, a typical mosaic technique of Florence, which very few people now carry on.
Having learnt this art, they decided to open their own studio, where they now make refined furnishings, jewellery and accessories, reinterpreting the traditional rules of Florentine commesso in a contemporary style, experimenting with interplays of transparency, lightness and volume.
Fascinated by the infinite variety of shapes and colours of natural stones, and inspired by the traditional techinique of stone processing, with its limitations and great challenges, the two crafters are able to give life to truly unique and original creations.
