Vud is an artistic carpentry workshop in the centre of Trieste, run by Filippo Mastinu and Rosa Bittolo Bon. The two partners, husband and wife, were working in Venice as architects when they decided to move to Friuli-Venezia Giulia in 2012 and open their own craft business.
The production initially included chopping boards, which have remained a distinctive element of the atelier, and tables: simple and elegant objects assembled without screws by Filippo, who has become a contemporary craftsman as a designer. Subsequently, the line expanded to include furnishing accessories of various kinds, especially for the table and the kitchen, and small decorative objects. Each item is handmade and distinguished by its essential and contemporary lines, which are realised in solid and durable objects, designed to give value to everyday moments.
Each project is executed in the workshop, from conception to finishing, and can also be made to measure, or in small series. The wide showroom is a welcoming and modern open space, where the unmistakable pieces of the collection are displayed.
