Larimeloom is the tailor’s shop of Maria Lucia Squillari. Here, since 2007, she has been making made-to-measure clothes from natural fabrics, designed for special occasions.
Together with a team of tailors, she makes wedding and ceremonial dresses, personally following all the stages of the creative process, in particular the natural dyeing of fabrics and painting on silk, but also the moulage, a technique that allows to create special shades, and the insertion of embroidery, thus using colour as an expressive element to make her creations unique.
The fibres of choice are silk and hemp: the latter is purchased from antique dealers and regenerated with a view to circularity. In addition, wedding dresses are designed to be worn after the wedding, and transformed in cut and colour for new occasions.
The atelier stands out for by the attention to the customer, who is accompanied in every choice and every stage of the creation of her dress.
Larimeloom garments are sold in the atelier in Reggio Emilia and online, and shipped worldwide.
In 2019 Maria Lucia Squillari was recognised by Vogue as one of the world’s best wedding dress designers in terms of sustainability.
