Recommended by: IL PESCE ROSSO

Il Pesce Rosso is a ceramics workshop, founded in Bassano del Grappa by Emma Chiara Raccanello in 2002, with the intention of pursuing a handcrafted and eco-sustainable production, and of transmitting the value of savoir-faire and handmade products.
From this vision comes a production of a few quality ceramics that last a lifetime. For this reason, each piece is made by hand, drying takes place in the open air, using very little electricity, and processing scraps are reused. The result are polychrome and always different ceramics. The shaping of the objects is mainly done on the potter’s wheel and by hand, without the use of moulds, thus guaranteeing the production of unique pieces and small series, but it is the finishing and decoration that make each object truly original. Particularly distinctive are the graphite terracottas, which the ceramist illustrates with drawings she used to make as a child.
In recent years, ceramicist Claudia Gobbo, who once worked as an assistant for Emma Chiara, has also been working in the workshop, contributing to the production and management of the atelier.
