Paolo Bergantin grew up in a family of artisans and decorators. In the last few years, he decided to revive techniques from the Italian decorative tradition, applying them to furniture, objects and home furnishings, thus creating characteristic shapes and surfaces.
Alongside his collaborators, he creates unique works featuring geometrical shapes and natural elements, using a wide range of materials like stuccos, resins, polystyrene, wood, iron, and gold leaf, mostly on a commission basis.
His research, aimed at creating original works, is supported by his mastery of traditional techniques and modern tools, allowing him to shape his materials according to his creative needs. Fearlessly embracing mistakes, he actually enhances the flaws that may surface in his works as distinctive marks of his manual process.
