The Taddei Davoli atelier, established in 1977 in Reggio Emilia, is covering a number of different fields, such as restoration of ancient and contemporary paintings on canvas and wood, mural paintings, sculpture and ethnography. Since 1996, the atelier has been run by Chiara Davoli, approaching all the processing steps according to a policy of minimal intervention on the artwork. Each restoration plan is based on an accurate analysis of the artwork, supported by preliminary diagnostic investigations. The operational techniques and the materials in use are checked by the main Italian restoration centres. The atelier also provides technical support for museum setting up of art exhibitions and cultural events.
Chiara Davoli also works for soprintendenze (government entities responsible for the cultural heritage), municipalities, museums and foundations, public and private entities, banks and collectors.
