Niccolò Garbati, born in 1990, has continued in the family tradition of working with marble, a tradition that dates back more than 30 years, bringing innovation and creativity to the business. In 2009 he set up Progetto99, an architecture, interiors and product design company.
At Progetto99 Niccolò applies his skill and professionalism to managing projects and sites in Italy and abroad. He also designs marble items, some of which incorporate high-tech components and are patented.
Using a couture approach to working with marble, Progetto99 selects the finest white or coloured marble and creates unique pieces for every customer. The process begins with a relief model made using high-tech tools, followed by a made-to-measure design, and culminates with hand installation by experts craftsmen.
Niccolò Garbati was selected as one of the 20 finalists of the Young Design competition for the best designers under-35 at Milan Design Week, sponsored by ADI, the Italian Industrial Design Association.
