After graduating in architecture, Chiara Cortesi discovered the world of ceramics almost by accident. She attended various training programmes between Milan, Faenza and Copenhagen and then went on to open her own studio in Brescia where today she creates objects for everyday use such as plates, cups, vases and jugs. The collections reflect Chiara’s style: simple and essential lines, pale and pastel colours, ironic decorative elements such as an octopus tentacle that substitutes a handle. She also creates personalised or commissioned works for restaurants, weddings, designers and companies as well as for private clients. Chiara Cortesi’s ceramics workshop in Via San Faustino 23 is not only where she produces and sells her works but is also a meeting place and venue where she delivers courses in ceramics.

Chiara Cortesi is an architect who has decided to dedicate herself to craftsmanship by opening her workshop in Brescia, where she makes her products and teaches the potter’s wheel technique. Chiara is surely very skilled, as well as very open to experimentation and prone to follow the best technical and design solutions.
