In Arabic atanor means “crucible”, the vessel used by alchemists where simple matter is transformed into something precious: this workshop specialised in artistic binders was born from the meeting of Leonardo and Alessandro, experts in leatherworking and binding. The company produces handmade photograph albums in fine paper and leather, offers binding services and prints editorial products. A true haven of research and experimentation using only certified Italian materials including selected plant-tanned leathers and other natural products such as bark extract, animal fats and fish oils. All workings and decorations are carried out by hand: a skilful application of ancient techniques to produce singular and unrepeatable products.

Alessandro and Leonardo are the archetype of modern craftsmen, able to combine their deep knowledge of ancient techniques with contemporary flair, never forgetting the charm of ancestral elegance. The work begins with the selection of raw materials, while the hand crafting process hardly involves any tools and the final product is always unique and custom made.
