Lineasette’s “line”, forgive my repetition, is clean, sinuous and elegant, easily distinguishable on the contemporary design market for its neat details and slender shapes. Over the years they collaborated with various designers, who skilfully maintained the company’s coordinated image while also reinterpreting it in their style and invariably preserving the use of the founding members’ material of choice: stoneware. Although they use plaster casts and slip casting, the production is still fully hand processed, all the way to the finishing touch: a thin slurry layer applied with an airbrush, which gives the surface its porous feel. Now the company is managed by the second generation and, thanks to Emanuele’s re-launch, has reaffirmed itself in the international market, also thanks to the collaboration with young designer Laura Pelosio.
