Guglielmo Pramotton is one of the major representatives of traditional craftsmanship in Val d’Aosta. His workshop is a magic place, where wooden sculptures come to life. They are animated by powerful expressions, and are cabaple of arousing emotions and of telling stories about local traditions. The sculptures of monks, hard-working winegrowers, sheep and shepherd represent scenes from the everyday life of the past, immersed in the mystical environment of the mountains. With his chisel, Guglielmo is able to extrapolate the communicative potential from the wood, enhancing each veining and nuance.
