Litrico is a haute-couture atelier, founded in 1951 by Angelo Litrico.
At a very young age, Angelo moved to Rome from Sicily with a dream: to become a great tailor and open his own atelier. In a few years he succeeded in creating what was bound to become an historic men’s haute-couture maison. Since its early years, the atelier specialized in creating garments for a truly exclusive international clientele: from Russia to Europe, from Japan to North and South America, from South Africa to Australia, Sartoria Litrico dressed the most prominent personalities in politics and beyond. Today, they create custom suits and men’s accessories, in addition to the “Couture-à-Porter” and “Ceremony” collections, according to Italian high craftsmanship’s traditions. Angelo Litrico won several honours and awards, and he was among the founding partners of the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (National Chamber of Italian Fashion).
The workshop is located in the Pinciano district, one of the most elegant in Rome, and behind the scenes of the atelier is a real historical heritage of the “Dolce Vita” period: walking through the rooms, one can admire some garments from the history of Italian fashion, of timeless beauty.
His tailor’s shop was one of the first to promote Italian fashion abroad, in Japan and the former Soviet Union.
Today the atelier is managed by his nephew Luca Litrico, representing the second generation of master tailors in the family, who has worked alongside his uncle Angelo and his father Franco since 1991. Together with a team of highly skilled craftsmen, he continues the family tradition, making unique clothes for a prestigious clientele, including members of the Royal Houses.
