AghiForme is the artistic carpentry workshop of Augusto Battistini: it is located in the hills of Villabalzana, a hamlet of Arcugnano close to Vicenza.
Growing up surrounded by woods and always fascinated by the different types of tree, Augusto creates handcrafted furniture from wood he personally gathers near his workshop.
The characteristics of the material stimulate his creativity and become a source of inspiration for his unique pieces. In fact, he emphasises wood veins by cutting or burning the edges, and by combining types of different colours in an original way: the result is a chromatic and geometric play that enhances the beauty of the surfaces.
All stages of production take place in his carpentry workshop, with particular attention to sustainability: only local woods are used and the varnishes are self-produced by using old recipes. Augusto mainly makes tables and chairs, lamps and centrepieces: the furnishings are also made-to-measure and every detail can be customised.
He also holds training courses on craft techniques in vocational schools, fab labs and some local associations.

I know Augusto and his passion for wood and natural materials for many years, I have watched him grow and go from being an enthusiast to becoming a professional. I have followed him from the choice of the logs, to the realisation of his brand, which reflects its humility, determination and elegance.
