Corrado Albicocco was born in 1947 and he studied at the renown Scuola del Libro in Urbino.
In 1972 he opened his first printing house in Udine and started to collaborate with many important illustrators, such as Santomaso, Greco and Zigania. He asserted himself as one of the best art printers in Italy and he started promoting this craft through courses, lectures and several publications, like the magazine “Bon à tirer”, dedicated to graphic art.
In 1994 he opened Stamperia d’Arte Albicocco, a printing house where he still organizes exhibitions, presents publications and works with Italian and international artists. Since 2003 he has been the publisher of the biannual “Prova d’Artista”.
Throughout his career he has printed 35 precious books, addressed to cultivated and refined collectors. In 2013 Friuli-Venezia Giulia region decided to pay a special tribute to Stamperia d’Arte Albicocco by supporting an exhibition in Villa Manin, in Passariano. Other local public institutions have organized important events dedicated to Albicocco’s works since 2014.
