Andrea Celestino is a skilled sculptor and wood carver. Born in 1993 in Aosta, he became passionate about woodworking as a child, watching his grandfather sculpting and carving in his garage in Aosta Valley. This way, he discovered his strong inclination for art and craftsmanship, great manual skills and a talent for sculpture. He then attended a local workshop-school, later continuing his training in Ortisei, in Val Gardena, the cradle of wooden sculpting. Today, in his workshop in Saint-Pierre, he crafts artworks and sculptures in a contemporary style: his female figures radiate serenity, grace and freedom, but at the same time strength and vitality, thanks to his thorough pursuit of harmonious lines and shapes, of course depending also on the kind of wood he chooses. His inspiration comes from the shapes and colours of nature. He also creates more classical sculptures, animals, portraits and other items, upon commission.
