Andrea Farci is a ceramist from Assemini, a village in the province of Cagliari known for the traditional production of ceramics.
Andrea carries on the family craft business, a tradition handed down over three generations: the ceramics workshop was in fact founded by his grandfather, Vincenzo Farci, in 1927.
Since then, the atelier has become known for its collections of plates, panels and other artefacts that enhance the Sardinian tradition.
Andrea started attending the workshop, which was already managed by his father Giuseppe, in the 1990s, after graduating from the Art High School in Cagliari. In 2008, he officially took over the business.
In addition to furniture, tableware and gift ideas, Andrea also makes typical artefacts, such as the “gallinelle”, characteristic hen-shaped items. Each piece is unique and enriched with decorations and colours that echo traditional Sardinian stylistic motifs.
