Cesare Toffolo is a renowned Murano glass master. He was born in Venice and grew up in a family of important Murano glass makers. At the age of 14 he began his apprenticeship in his father’s workshop, specialized in lampworking, learning the basics of this technique. Only three years later he took over the business, introducing techniques never before employed in flame processing of borosilicate glass, such as incalmo, filigree and the addition of golden leaf. Thanks to his creativity and cutting-edge vision, Cesare continues working in his workshop creating artistic glass pieces of rare beauty. His blown glass items are especially renowned, along with the exclusive one of a kind Murano glass miniatures. Toffolo taught glass blowing all over the world and showcased his pieces in important museums.
