In the 16th century, weaving represented one of the main trades of the Republic of Genoa. It is precisely in this period that the story of the DeMartini family, which has been dedicated to hand-weaving for generations, begins.
In fact, in their workshop in Lorsica, a village in the Ligurian hinterland in the province of Genoa, which has historically been devoted to the production of precious damasks, they make home textiles, still according to tradition and using the characteristic shuttle looms, some of which they designed themselves.
The small craft company continues to produce fine artefacts with the typical fabrics of the Ligurian territory, in particular cashmere and linen, damask, lampasso and macramé cloth, thus maintaining intact the ancient know-how and philosophy that inspired its foundation. The yarns used are all natural and regulated by the Regione Liguria.
