Gala Gloves is a leather goods workshop in Casavatore, close to Naples, where custom-made gloves are made according to traditional craftsmanship.
The business is now run by Alessandro Pellone, who represents the third generation of master craftsmen in his family. Alessandro attended his parents’ workshop as a boy and learned the secrets of the trade from them. Soon he felt the desire to continue his family tradition: with the idea of preserving the authenticity of the Neapolitan glove-making craftsmanship, and of experimenting with new techniques at the same time, he took over the workshop. Combining new techniques, used in other fields of fashion but never seen before in glove-making, seemed to be the right way to bring new lifeblood to the business and products.
He thus participated in several fashion fairs around the world, to discover techniques and tools that could add value to his work.
The Gala gloves stand out for their details, the exclusively handcrafted production and the skill with which both modern and traditional techniques are used. There are a wide variety of models to choose from, but it is also possible to request a custom-made pair of gloves.
