Germano Sigolo is an extremely experienced goldsmith. He spent his formative years in a workshop, where he learned traditional techniques and various styles of working. He then developed his skills over a forty-year career.
Germano creates artworks in gold, taking his inspiration from Italian history and art, leaving plenty of room for experimentation. Original, innovative creations, made from metals that are shaped until they achieve an ideal form, using chasing and repoussé techniques. His favourite materials are bronze, silver and steel, and he combines these with natural stones, wood, slate, resin and glass, sometimes with natural and recycled materials.
In 2007 he received the “Artis Eccellenza Artigiana” award from the Lombardy Region.
