Le Gilde are creative hangers and lamps made from the wooden shoe lasts used to make shoes in craft shoemakers’ workshops.
This is a creative atelier and a brand of handmade products, founded by Gloria La Torre in Bollate, on the outskirts of Milan, that was born from her passion for craftsmanship.
Each piece is unique and is always made to measure: this way, the design is made together with the customer, thus creating a magical synergy of ideas.
Although she mainly uses recycled materials, such as fabrics, old jeans, leathers and end-of-series samples, the result is a refined yet fun and original object, thanks to the mastery of the workmanship and the extreme attention to detail.
There are no limits to the variety of decorations, all hand-painted, and styles of the Gilde: from the most colourful and imaginative, for but not limited to children, to the most refined and elegant ones, which recall the classic shoes.
