Giovanni Deidda inherited a business dating back to 1830, and is still passing on its manufacturing techniques.
A skilled lathe-turner, he moulds clay in his atelier, drawing his inspiration from the pristine nature surrounding him, searching purity in shapes and perfection in details. In his production, he introduced decorative items as a distinctive feature, applying slips on white clay, which he later masterly carves. Thus, plates, bowls, vases and other everyday objects are decorated with geometrical and natural motifs, which he replicates in a similar, yet never identical pattern in all his works.
Coloured enamel and tin-glazes introduce a subtle, harmonic use of colour, perfectly matching the neutral, clear hues of his other creations.
