After her work experience in Palermo as a set designer and theatrical costume decorator, in 1998 Helene Moreau decided to set up a new art-space in the island of Ortigia, in Siracusa. Her workshop is a magic site, full of colours, music and creative energy, where Helene loves welcoming tourists, exchanging experiences and talking about her beloved Sicily.
Drawing her inspiration from the environment, the light and colours of this wonderful landscape, she paints classic motifs, featuring Corynthian ornaments and architectural details, or Mediterranean subjects, like fish, waves and prickly pear cactuses on canvasses and silk scarves.
Each scarf is a one-of-a-kind piece, hand-painted and a full expression of the artist’s creativity.
