Il Papiro Art is a multi-disciplinary artistic workshop located in Vetralla, near Viterbo, managed by Lidia Scalzo, the master decorator and art director of the studio’s activities.
The atelier specializes in artistic decoration and processing of surfaces, emphasizing the use of resins and micro-cement. The craftsmen carry out works on walls and home accessories such as furniture, doors and different kinds of interior design items, by using a wide range of artisanal techniques and replicating naturalistic or abstract, classic or modern style, and any other one. Their inspiration derives from the Bauhaus experience: an authentic workshop where a group of artists design and work together, harmonizing each project with their handcrafting skills. This way, interiors and furnishings become unique and one of a kind artworks, able to combine aesthetic with functionality.

Lidia Scalzo, Rome-based artist and designer with over 30 years of experience, alongside her sister Rosaria, decorates the most beautiful homes of the Capital. In their workshop, located in Vetralla, they bring emotions to life through their professional expertise and constant research, turning craftsmanship into art and design. Employing ancient techniques and contemporary materials, they are able to create artefacts, design objects, unique and one-of-a-kind pieces. Wood, stones, resins, fabrics, paper, books and colours of any kind are combined in an actual “coordinated chaos”, reminding us how everything is indispensable and at the same time mutable.
