Born in 1962, Lucia Massei graduated in Jewellery Design at the University of Florence and then in Painting and Visual Arts at the Fine Arts Academy in Florence. She then set out on her professional career as an independent goldsmith creating unique and experimental jewellery embodying a refined and contemporary taste.
During her career, she has worked as a curator, lecturer, consultant and designer for jewellery also in collaboration with many important brands and has exhibited her works worldwide from Italy to Japan. Her training and experience in the fields of art and design have given her the opportunity to integrate her multifaceted knowhow in the field of jewellery making and to develop her own and very personal creative language. She is co-founder of Alchimia – Contemporary Jewellery School in Florence which she has managed since 1998.
