Lucia Pascale is a dyer, natural printer and designer trained in Fashion Design at the Istituto Marangoni. After working for over twenty years in fashion design, a different vision of her work and the current historical period led her towards plant-based dying and printing. Today she dedicates her skills to this ancient and environmentally sustainable activity by giving life to “artistic textiles” that are one-of-a-kind and unrepeatable: first she selects the textiles which are necessarily 100% natural to allow them to be indelibly dyed; then using leaves, roots and flowers, she prints and dyes the fabric. Through a long and elaborate process requiring great knowledge of plants used for dying and the meticulous sourcing of textiles, the craftsman is able to create articles of clothing, accessories and household objects with a unique design.
