M. Grazia – Gioielli Unici is the brand of Maria Grazia Schinelli, a highly skilled and talented Sardinian goldsmith. In her workshop in Cagliari she creates rings, bracelets, necklaces and other refined bijoux and jewels, by using crochet, embroidery and weaving techniques, as well the traditional processes of goldsmithing; and by combining precious metals with valuable textiles, such as velvet, brocade and silk, as well as with other unusual materials, such as lava stone from Etna and enamelled copper. Her constant research, innovative techniques and the unusual application of her skills means that her works embody tradition, contemporaneity and design to create much more than a simple accessory but a precious object with a much deeper significance, inspired by the history, colours, and traditions of Sardinia and the Mediterranean.

Maria Grazia Schinelli is a young Sardinian goldsmith who creates delightful, crocheted jewellery. Copper wire woven with Saint Lucy's eye motifs are testimony to the power of Sardinian tradition. In her hands, traditional and popular craftsmanship is transformed into something magical that tells of beaches and the wind, of the sea and the vibrant colours of Sardinia’s wildflowers. With her non-precious materials such as gilded nickel-free copper or silver wire she creates jewellery with a contemporary design and inspired by these elements.
