Santi Del Sere is a master restorer and cabinetmaker. After graduating from the Istituto Statale d’Arte in Anghiari in woodworking and restoration of antique furniture, he opened in the same town one of the most important workshops specialise in cabinetmaking. In addition to constructing furnishing items, he also practices the ancient art of wood inlay to decorate his furniture with decorative marquetry panels in the Renaissance style. He also carries out restoration works, gilding and French polishing of antique furniture. He was the first person in the entire province of Arezzo to be awarded the title Maestro Artigiano e Bottega Scuola, in recognition of master artisans qualified to teach and train young apprentices.
In his workshop he delivers courses to teach the traditional and modern techniques of his art, and also organises experiential visits on request.
