Musiv’art is a workshop specializing in mosaic and stained glass, located in San Daniele del Friuli, a small town near Udine.
Here artist and craftsman Paolo Maimonte crafts spectacular creations inspired by Nature, great works of art or religious subjects.
Originally from Enna, his artistic talent and passion for mosaic brought him to Spilimbergo, undisputed home of this art form, where he learned the trade. Later he moved to Milan, where he opened his workshop and worked for many years as a teacher of mosaic and stained glass at the “Scuola Superiore d’Arte Applicata del Castello Sforzesco” (Superior School for Applied Arts at Castello Sforzesco). Today he carries on his work in Friuli: thanks to many years of practice and study, he now masters many artistic techniques which allow him to adopt an interdisciplinary approach, combining different languages. He took part in many exhibitions and trade fairs, both in Italy and abroad.

Paolo is not just a mosaicist, he is an artist: his vision is not limited to canonical materials, everything can become part of the work of art! His is a constant creative process, from the vision of materials to their processing. His approach to multi-materialism is aided by the knowledge and skills he has acquired in working with different materials.
