Opera Lènta is an artistic bookbinding workshop and a leather goods shop in Spoleto.
Originally from Rome, after his university studies in graphic design and advertising in Perugia, Giuliano Foca learned the art of hand bookbinding in a workshop in the Umbrian capital.
He then worked in various leather shops, learning the secrets of the craft.
Always attracted by the dialogue between design and materials, and after more than ten years of experience alongside the best masters, he crowned his dream by finally opening his own business in Spoleto.
Today, in his atelier he creates, in addition to bookbinding, refined and refined leather objects and accessories, following the slow rhythm of those who know the materials and techniques of the past, and indulging in the time required to learn from new contaminations, to stop and experiment. This philosophy allows him to create with his own hands unique products that arouse emotions, using only vegetable-tanned leather and sustainable materials that guarantee a low environmental impact, and employing age-old techniques such as hand-padding. Customised and commissioned items are also made.
