Paolo Bellò is a master plasterer and decorator with over forty years of experience.
After studying at the “Centro Europeo di Venezia per i Mestieri della Conservazione del Patrimonio Architettonico” (European Centre for Architectural Heritage Conservation in Venice), he served a long apprenticeship in the workshop of master Enio Verenini, where he was able to learn the secrets of the trade, a knowledge that has been handed down from three generations of master decorators.
In 1993 he set up his workshop in Solagna: since then he has dedicated himself to wall decoration and the restoration of architectural surfaces and artistic objects, with the same enthusiasm as in the beginning.
In four decades of work, thanks to experience and practice, as well as to in-depth studies, he has been able to experiment, get to know and master many materials traditionally used in the trade: from the preparation of fresh mortars to ornament design, from tempera to fresco, from scagliola to marmorino and gilding. Although his favourite one is traditional marmorino stucco, he is able to adapt his work to client requests and challenging commissions.
Throughout his career, he has worked on major projects in Italy and abroad, contributing to the decoration and restoration of churches, private homes and other renowned buildings.
