After a degree in architecture and a few years’ experience abroad, Francesco Pozzato came back to Italy to take up the trade he had learnt from his father, a renowned furniture restorer in Milan. From his father he also inherited the wonderful workshop, located in a historical building in the heart of Milan, where today he restores and creates home furnishings from old timbers and parts of vintage disused furnishings.
Quite often, the classic restoration tradition clashes against his architect’s flair and his innovative spirit, but he always tries to mediate and find the appropriate solution to better enhance the product.
Also, he collaborates with architects, interior decorators and designers by creating and designing bespoke furniture.
