Remué is a sartorial atelier in the centre of Conegliano, a small but lively city close to Treviso and not far from Venice.
Viviana Variola’s passion for old fabrics and clothes with a story, her energy and imagination, and her search for beauty and quality are the ‘ingredients’ of the brand and the philosophy that led her to open her workshop.
It is no coincidence that Remué means ‘mixture’ in French: in this studio, vintage accessories and decorations, collected during her travels and at markets all over Europe, are combined with contemporary elements, creating unique pieces.
Thanks to her many years of experience in fashion, and her knowledge of different eras and styles, Viviana is able to create imaginative and original mixes, resulting in unique garments that enhance the past and embrace the future, promoting sustainability in an innovative way.
Each garment is and hand-sewn by assembling different fabrics and materials. ‘I think about the future by looking at the past. What excites me I revive: upcycling is the new luxury”: Viviana’s creations are inspired by iconic women and heroines, protagonists of the history of fashion or of her imagination.
