A long-standing passionate lover of books, Francesca Premoli decided to learn the art of bookbinding and paper restoration. In 2013, she realised her dreams and opened her atelier, also winning a competition for young entrepreneurs from Biella’s Province.
Today, besides retrieving and giving new lustre to damaged volumes, she also creates unique objects, such as wedding albums, customised diaries, paper wedding-favours, precious decorations on leather and accurate reproductions of literary classics. She mostly works on a commission basis, designing and creating contemporary hand-made bindings in accordance with her clients’ wishes. Besides individuals willing to retrieve the value and love for a book, her clientele includes companies willing to create catalogues, portfolios, gadgets and gifts.
