Since the 1950s, in a small town near Cuneo, the Druetta family have been carrying forward a high-end upholstering tradition, processing textiles, leather and upholstered furniture with outstanding manual skills.
Over the years, the workshop aimed at acquiring a higher degree of competitiveness and developed into a centre for artisanal design and production, offering an all-round service in furniture repairing and restoration or in newly creating bespoke furniture and decoration, from sofas and armchairs to indoor and outdoor blinds and curtains, from home furniture to marine interiors.
Also, the family, who is strongly rooted in the local community, managed to build a network of highly skilled collaborators, specialising in a variety of processing techniques, ranging from the more traditional intarsia, gilding or straw stuffing, to cutting-edge PU leather processing or textile digital printing.
In 2004, they received the much sought-after prize of Eccellenza artigiana (Craft excellence) from the Region of Piedmont.

I met Gabriele and Veronica Druetta during the London Design Fair, for the project Crossovers by Adorno. It’s impossible not to be enchanted by their energy, passion and constant curiosity for their craft. Tappezzerie Druetta could be called a temple of artisanal knowledge, with a great understanding and regard for the past, yet with an eye towards the future.
