Caltagirone, a land with an ancient ceramics tradition, hosts one of Italy’s most long-lived ceramics manufacturing company. Starting from the early 18th century, ceramists from nine generations have been working amidst enchanting colours and enamels, realising valuable artefacts. Nowadays, Bottega Iudici is being run by Alessandro and Marco – respectively a moulder and a decorator – creating traditional objects like oil lamps, anthropomorphic pots, whistles, pitchers and plates, sometimes in a revisited version, never forgetting ancient craftsmanship and savoir-faire.
